Crazy work week

I had to put everything on hold while I worked on a new schoolspring feature. Integrating xml and sql data sources into one sortable and useful query object has been quite a challenge. Six days and 80 hours later I've just about completed it. I mention it here because it's one way that coldfusion has out shined every other programming language I've worked with. I'm not sure how I could accomplish the same in php with such a short development schedule.

Kudos to coldfusion and it's query of queries feature. It's not perfect, but it has allowed me to produce some spectacularly creative and useful code this week. I hope other web development platforms include such a powerful feature soon.

Interviews in abundance

I've started having interviews several times a week. A few of them have been very encouraging. I'm still waiting for the perfect job to come along.

In the meantime, SchoolSpring is going well. I spent the last few days writing queries to fix the evaluations section of their site. All seems well now.

I've also been slowly updating this site. You'll notice an addition of the Objective section on the resume. Some of the resume sections have been combined or moved. This blog is no longer the main page of the professional section. Now the About Me blurb is there. That's it.

The Job Search Continues

With SchoolSpring wrapping up (see my resume on the right) I have been ramping up the job search.

I am interested in long term consulting or full-time employment as a web developer or system administrator. Take a look at the information here and let me know if you are interested. I'm wrapping up with SchoolSpring in October to November. Start dates are flexible.
