I am a very strong IT generalist. In the recent past most of my time and energy has been spent on advanced web development.

In 1997, due to administering a variety of unix web servers containing PHP, I began doing web development. Programmers requested my help to configure php for optimum performance. During that time I discovered the wide world of web scripting. My ability to efficiently learn new web languages became apparent very quickly. Over a short period of time new abilities like Perl Compatible Regular expressions and other languages like Javascript and Coldfusion became part of my skill set. Visit the Skills section of my resume for a more comprehensive list.

Since 1999 I have been working as a private consultant. Over the years since, I've built a client base of regular and semi-regular customers. As a consultant, exposed to a much wider range of needs from my clients, I was able to put my Interactive Media and The Arts (fancy for Web Design) degree to good use. Flash and Shockwave are still second nature to me. I built a few data driven flash sites that gathered their information over http (This was before web services exist as they do now).

In 2004 I began working as a full-time consultant for SchoolSpring.com. It has been an ongoing project for the last two years. This is a large scale commercial web site oriented toward the education industry.

I have continued to enhance my system administrator skills through my own servers and client needs. Many of my clients require regular maintenance or performance tuning from time to time.

If any of these skills sound useful to you, by all means read the rest of my resume or contact me via e-mail with the link at the bottom of the page.
