We are a brother and sister team creating useful, fun and educational iphone apps together since 2008. We never planned to start a family business, but here we are! We try to be open to possibilities we have not yet considered.
Derrek has a strong programming background. He attended Simon’s Rock College and has been working as an independent computer consultant since finishing college. Derrek started developing his first iphone app just after Apple opened the market to independent developers. His first nutrition tracking app was an app store staff favorite in the summer of 2008. We are now revising that app based on wonderful user feedback and expect to release a new version with a new name later this year. He always enjoys a new challenge.
Aurora is currently a PhD student at the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. She has a passion for data visualization. She has a masters degree in Education from New York University and an undergrad degree in film and theater from Dartmouth. She enjoys developing iphone apps because it challenges her to use pieces of her art, education AND research experience. In her free time (ha!) she has two kids and does triathlons badly.
